Meet the Team

Mike Madison | Owner
I have grown up in the roofing business. My Dad, Bill Madison, started the company in 1974 after a back injury suffered in a mining accident made it impossible to continue a life of back breaking work. I was only 9 years old. I spent many a day picking up trash on job sites and learned early to take pride in what we do. My father demanded it and that priority was passed down to all of us. We are proud to have a true family owned and operated business and continue his legacy. Our mantra has always been to grow our business responsibly and create opportunities for our employees. Nothing makes me more proud than the fact that we are still here. With Hans joining the family and company over 20 years ago, and with the addition of his son Bastian, we are well into our third generation in the company. A feat often aspired to, but, rarely achieved. We look forward to earning your business and can’t be more pleased you would give us the chance to continue our tradition.
Thank you for the chance.

Essential Tips for Choosing a Reliable Roofer
In an industry with no licensing and a questionable reputation, don’t forget to do your homework. Here are a few tips to help you select a roofer:
Check to be certain that the roofing company you choose is a Licensed Contractor and if the job will be done by the contractor or a sub-contractor (who is liable?).
Compare the base price of different roofing materials, e.g. asphalt shingles, slate tiles, cedar shakes.
Verify if you will have trained and certified personnel for your project.
Consult with your roofing contractor about which material would be best for your roof. If possible, try to secure a warranty or even a guarantee on the work.
Ask to see projects your roofing contractor has completed in your area and talk to the homeowners, if possible.
Request a copy of their Liability Insurance.
Request a copy of their Workers Comp Certificate.
Ensure that the products your roofing contractor uses on your roof have been paid for – ask for lien releases prior to making final payment.
Well established contractors do not require down payments.
Check your sources: Better Business Bureau, Angie’s List, even Google+/Facebook will give you reviews and information about the contractors in our area. The better due diligence investigation that you do initially, the better partnership you will establish with your contractor.
